Subcutaneous bleeding is just a symptom, and the causes of subcutaneous bleeding are complex and diverse. Subcutaneous bleeding caused by different reasons varies in severity, so some cases of subcutaneous bleeding are more severe, while others are not.

1. Severe subcutaneous bleeding:
(1)Severe infection causes subcutaneous hemorrhage: it is usually because the metabolic products of infectious diseases lead to increased permeability of capillary wall and dysfunction of blood coagulation, resulting in abnormal bleeding, which is manifested as subcutaneous hemorrhage, and may be accompanied by septic shock in severe cases, so it is relatively serious.
(2)Liver disease causes subcutaneous bleeding: When various liver diseases such as viral hepatitis, cirrhosis, and alcoholic liver disease cause subcutaneous bleeding, it is generally caused by liver disease leading to liver failure and lack of coagulation factors. Because liver function is severely damaged, it is more severe.
(3)Hematological diseases can cause subcutaneous bleeding: various hematological diseases such as aplastic anemia, hemophilia, thrombocytopenic purpura, leukemia, etc. can all lead to coagulation dysfunction and cause subcutaneous bleeding. Due to the severity of these primary diseases that cannot be cured, they are quite serious.

2. Mild subcutaneous bleeding:
(1)Subcutaneous bleeding caused by drug side effects: Subcutaneous bleeding caused by drug side effects such as aspirin enteric coated tablets and clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate tablets. Symptoms quickly improve after discontinuation of medication, so it is not severe.
(2)Subcutaneous bleeding caused by vascular puncture: During the process of venous blood collection or intravenous infusion, subcutaneous bleeding may be caused by vascular puncture, and the amount of bleeding is relatively small and limited. It can absorb and dissipate on its own after about a week, and is generally not severe.

To discover subcutaneous bleeding, it is necessary to first investigate the cause of the bleeding before evaluating the condition. Be careful to avoid any form of external stimulation on the bleeding area, including scratching, squeezing, and rubbing.
