ABOUT PLATELETS

Author: Succeeder

Platelets are a cell fragment in human blood, also known as platelet cells or platelet balls. They are an important component responsible for blood coagulation and play a key role in stopping bleeding and repairing injured blood vessels.

Platelets are flake-shaped or oval-shaped, with a diameter of about 2-4 microns. They are produced by megakaryocytes in the bone marrow and are released into the blood once they mature. Under normal circumstances, the number of platelets in the blood is relatively stable, with about (100-300)×10^9/L platelets per liter of blood.

The main function of platelets is to participate in the blood coagulation process when blood vessels are injured. When blood vessels are damaged, platelets will quickly gather near the wound to form platelet thrombi, which can temporarily block the injured blood vessels, prevent further blood loss, and provide the necessary conditions for wound healing.

In addition to hemostasis, platelets also have other functions and can release a variety of bioactive substances, such as platelet-derived growth factor, platelet-derived growth factor, etc. These substances can promote angiogenesis, stimulate cell proliferation and repair damaged tissues. In addition, platelets are also involved in physiological processes such as immune response, inflammatory response and thrombosis.

However, too high or too low platelet counts may have adverse effects on human health. Too high platelet counts may increase the risk of blood clots and easily cause thrombotic diseases such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Too low platelet counts may lead to bleeding tendencies, making people prone to symptoms such as nosebleeds, bleeding gums, and subcutaneous congestion.

Analyzer Introduction
Fully Automated Coagulation analyzer SF-9200 (https://www.succeeder.com/fully-automated-coagulation-analyzer-sf-9200-product) can be used for clinical test and pre-operative screening. Hospitals and medical scientific researchers also can use SF-9200. Which adopts coagulation and immunoturbidimetry, chromogenic method to test the clotting of plasma. The instrument shows that clotting measurement value is the clotting time (in seconds). If the test item is calibrated by calibration plasma, it can also display other related results.
The product is made of sampling probe movable unit, cleaning unit, cuvettes movable unit, heating and cooling unit, test unit, operation-displayed unit, LIS interface (used for printer and transfer date to Computer).
Technical and experienced staffs and analyzers of high quality and strict quality management are the guarantee of manufacture of SF-9200 and good quality. We guarantee each instrument inspected and tested strictly. SF-9200 meets China national standard, industry standard, enterprise standard and IEC standard.
